Wales completed a WXV double over Japan with a 29-5 victory in Kumagaya City, according to BBC Sport and Yahoo Sports. The match saw Wales score five tries, including two by wing Amy Williams and one by prop Sisilia Tuipulotu.

The game started with tries from Wales' Nel Metcalfe and Japan's Moe Nagaoka within the first 15 minutes. Wales then extended their lead with tries from Kelsey Jones and Williams before halftime, with Lleucu George converting two tries.

Despite being reduced to 13 players after replacements Keira Bevan and Hannah Dallavalle received yellow cards, Wales maintained strong defense to keep Japan from scoring further in the final minutes, as reported by both outlets.

Wales finished the WXV Global Series with three wins and only one loss, marking a turnaround for head coach Sean Lynn's team, which had previously endured nine Tests without a win. Japan, coached by Toshizumi Kitagawa, is still seeking their first win since May.

The victory represents Wales' first back-to-back Test wins since June 2024, highlighting their improved form in the tournament, according to BBC Sport.
