Stephanie March will guest star in the ninth episode of the 28th season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, reprising her role as prosecutor Alexandra Cabot, according to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

March originally portrayed Cabot for eight seasons starting in 2000 and has made multiple guest appearances since, with her last appearance in 2018. Her character was written off as going into federal witness protection after faking her death.

The upcoming episode's airdate has not been announced, and NBC is keeping details about Cabot's return under wraps. March will be the second former regular to appear this season, following Christopher Meloni's return as Elliot Stabler on the 600th episode airing November 12, per Hollywood Reporter.

March's recent acting work includes appearances in Harlan Coben's Shelter, Naomi, and the film Origin. She is represented by Paradigm and Navigation Media Group.

Law & Order: SVU is the longest-running primetime drama in American television history and airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC, with executive producer Dick Wolf among others.

Fans of the series can look forward to seeing a familiar face return, adding to the ongoing storylines in season 28.
