Three-vehicle crash in East Sacramento causes diesel spill and road closures

A crash on Hazel Avenue at Winding Way led to a diesel spill and closure of southbound lanes, CHP reports.

A three-vehicle collision occurred on Hazel Avenue at Winding Way in East Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash resulted in a diesel fuel spill, prompting the closure of all southbound lanes of Hazel Avenue at the intersection.

CHP announced the closures Monday morning and stated that the estimated time for reopening the affected lanes is currently unknown.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the cleanup and investigation are complete.
