U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville released a 21-page agenda titled 'Back to Basics: The Golden Age Playbook,' outlining his priorities and legislative plans ahead of the Alabama governor's race, Yellowhammer News reported.

The playbook lists seven priorities: jobs, affordability, education, smaller government, public safety, infrastructure, and health care, with specific timing for each commitment, including some actions on Day One by executive order and others during the first legislative session or budget.

A key proposal is the Family Affordability Act, a bill aimed at eliminating the 2% state sales tax on groceries, reducing the state income tax in phases during the first term, freezing property tax increases for senior homeowners, extending power bill rate freezes, and gradually phasing out child care assistance as family income rises.

Tuberville emphasized his goal to bring good jobs to all parts of Alabama and to reduce the size of state government, stating he aims to change Montgomery rather than just manage it.
