Sarah James, an editor at Conde Nast Traveler, detailed her stay at Strawtop Two, one of two 16th-century thatched-roof cottages located in the village of Adderbury in the Cotswolds, according to Conde Nast Traveler.

The cottage features original Grade II-listed elements alongside plush modern touches, creating a blend of historical charm and contemporary comfort, Conde Nast Traveler reported.

Upon arrival, guests find a warmly lit living room with a wood-burning fire ready to be lit, a kitchen stocked with fresh and organic provisions, and a dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the surroundings, Conde Nast Traveler described.

The cottages are owned and managed by local content creator Josie Irons and her husband Charlie Irons, who have carefully renovated the properties to preserve their centuries-long history while enhancing guest comfort, Conde Nast Traveler noted.

The cottage also includes a boot room equipped with Barbour jackets, Wellies, and umbrellas, acknowledging the typical April weather in the region, Conde Nast Traveler added.
