Two dead, three injured in West Baltimore gas station shooting
A shooting at a West Baltimore gas station left two people dead and three injured Sunday night, police say.
Baltimore police responded around 10:30 p.m. Sunday to a shooting at a BP gas station on Edmondson Avenue in West Baltimore, where they found four people with gunshot wounds, according to The Baltimore Banner.
The victims included a 34-year-old woman and three men aged 20, 24, and 48. A fifth victim arrived at a hospital separately with gunshot injuries, police said.
The woman and the 20-year-old man died from their wounds, while the other three victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley told FOX45 Baltimore.
Commissioner Worley said investigators believe there were two or three shooters involved and that high-powered rifles were used in the attack. Police are working to determine a motive and have not made any arrests yet.
This shooting is part of a recent series of mass shootings in Baltimore, including incidents that killed a 12-year-old and two young men in West Baltimore neighborhoods, Worley noted.
Earlier Sunday, a separate shooting at a liquor store in Northwest Baltimore injured three people, police reported. Authorities are asking anyone with information about that incident to contact Baltimore police or Metro Crime Stoppers.
