Ukraine and Russia are increasingly conducting warfare underground amid the ongoing conflict, according to France 24 English.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently highlighted Operation Veles, where Ukrainian troops advanced through a disused gas pipeline in the Kupiansk region to engage Russian forces.
These underground tactics have been used by Russian troops for over two years to bypass Ukrainian lines, and now Kyiv is adopting similar strategies to gain an advantage on the battlefield.
The use of drones continues to saturate the battlefield, complementing these subterranean maneuvers and adding complexity to the conflict dynamics.
