Warriors rally for fifth straight win after slow start to season
Golden State Warriors have won five games in a row after an 0-3 start, showing early season promise at Chase Center.
The Golden State Warriors have turned around their season after a slow start, winning five consecutive games just two weeks into the 2026-27 NBA season, the SF Standard reported.
Their latest victory was a 116-113 comeback win over the Phoenix Suns at Chase Center, where the Warriors overcame a 17-point early deficit. Stephen Curry led the charge with 34 points and seven assists, including 25 points in the second half.
Charles Bassey also contributed significantly with 19 points and eight rebounds, stepping up after Draymond Green was ejected in the third quarter. The team managed to sweep a back-to-back series, a feat they only achieved twice last season.
The Warriors have been adjusting their offense while missing Moses Moody and presumptive starting center Kristaps Porzingis, who were not playing. Despite early season doubts from analysts following their 0-3 start, the team is showing signs of resilience and potential.
One veteran player expressed confidence in the locker room after their recent wins, noting that outside critics had been quick to write off the team. However, the Warriors' strong week may not immediately change all opinions about their season outlook.
