WWE's Paul Heyman embraces his mental health struggles and uniqueness
Paul Heyman discusses his acceptance of personal flaws and the impact on his success and family.
Paul Heyman, a WWE personality, openly described himself as a "terribly f***ed up person" during an interview on "In Depth with Graham Bensinger," according to Wrestling Inc. He stated that embracing his flaws has contributed to his success.
When asked about attending therapy, Heyman dismissed the idea, saying his struggles have shaped who he is. He acknowledged likely needing therapy and having trauma from his upbringing but expressed no resentment toward his parents, who also faced hardships like the Holocaust and the Great Depression.
Heyman admitted to exhibiting symptoms of overcompensatory behavior and ADHD, as well as being addicted to dopamine effects. Despite these challenges, he said he is fine with these traits because they define him.
He shared that he was taught to accept being different and special, which helps him not lose sleep over his issues. Heyman hopes his children will embrace their own flaws as well, saying, "What was your father like? He was f***ed up like me, and I loved him for it."
