Apple Intelligence features arrive in China with iOS 27.3 beta
Apple introduces Apple Intelligence tools in China starting with iOS 27.3 beta in November, full release in December.
Apple is set to launch Apple Intelligence features in China with the upcoming iOS 27.3 beta, according to The Verge. The beta version will be available starting November 4th, with a full release planned for December.
The initial rollout will not include the new Siri AI but will bring earlier Apple Intelligence capabilities such as notification summaries, real-time translation, rewriting and proofreading tools, visual intelligence, and photo object removal.
Apple has collaborated with Alibaba to integrate support for the Qwen chatbot in some experiences, which resembles the iOS integration with OpenAI’s ChatGPT introduced in 2024.
Apple Intelligence received approval in China in July, signaling the approach of the launch. Additionally, Apple has developed a large language model specifically tailored for the Chinese market, as reported by Reuters in August.
