NASCAR driver Christopher Bell is targeting the championship as the NASCAR Cup Series season nears its end, with the final race set for Nov. 8 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, CBS News Miami reported.
Currently third in the points standings, Bell discussed his season and championship aspirations during a visit to CBS Miami studios, bringing along the NASCAR championship trophy for the interview.
Bell highlighted his approach of taking risks and pushing for every point as he competes in the remaining races, including the upcoming event at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia before returning to South Florida.
Driving the No. 20 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, Bell noted the competitive environment within the team, which has three drivers ranked second, third, and fourth in the standings, making for intense competition on race days.
