The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for San Diego County coastal areas until 1 PM PDT on Thursday. This warning is in effect during high tides occurring in the late mornings.

Significant coastal flooding is expected, with numerous road closures possible. Low-lying properties, including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure, may experience inundation.

Some shoreline erosion is also anticipated during the late morning high tides. Observed high tides are 1.4 to 1.6 feet above the predicted astronomical tides.

Residents along the coast and infrastructure managers are advised to prepare for rising water levels and take appropriate steps to protect life and property. Staying informed and cautious during this period is recommended.
