The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for coastal areas of Miami-Dade and Broward counties until 8 PM Wednesday.
This warning indicates significant coastal flooding is expected, with impacts including road closures, inundation of low-lying properties such as homes and businesses, and some shoreline erosion.
Additionally, there is a high risk of dangerous rip currents through Wednesday evening, which can sweep swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Residents are advised to exercise caution near the coast and avoid swimming in areas with rip currents to ensure safety.
