The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Watch for coastal Miami-Dade County starting late Sunday night and continuing through Tuesday morning.

The watch indicates that significant coastal flooding is possible, with impacts including road closures, inundation of low-lying homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure, as well as shoreline erosion.

Additionally, a High Rip Current Risk remains in effect through late Tuesday night, posing dangers to swimmers as strong currents can pull even experienced swimmers into deeper waters.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay informed about changing conditions and to avoid swimming in the ocean during this period due to the hazardous rip currents.

Precautions should be taken to protect property in vulnerable areas and to heed any local advisories or closures related to coastal flooding.
