The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued preliminary affirmative determinations that certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, and Austria are being, or are likely to be, sold in the United States at less than fair value. This determination covers the period from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, according to Federal Register documents.

For Taiwan and Austria, Commerce has also postponed the final determination and extended provisional measures related to these findings. The investigations are ongoing as Commerce continues its review of the sales and pricing practices for these products from the three countries.

The Federal Register notes that these documents are part of a prototype Web 2.0 version of the daily Federal Register and are not yet official legal editions. Users are advised to verify information against official publications until the Administrative Committee of the Federal Register grants official status.

These preliminary findings could lead to further trade actions or tariffs if final determinations confirm sales at less than fair value. The Commerce Department's investigations aim to ensure fair trade practices and protect domestic industries from unfairly priced imports.
