WBTV reported that a backdoor cold front is bringing cooler and drier air to the Charlotte area this weekend, accompanied by gusty northeast winds. Temperatures on Saturday will reach near 70 degrees with thick clouds, while Sunday will be the coolest day with highs in the 60s and lows dropping into the 50s.

The weekend will remain dry with rain chances nearly zero through Monday, allowing for outdoor activities despite the noticeable chill compared to recent warmth.

Looking ahead to the new workweek, WBTV noted that temperatures will rebound into the 70s on Monday and Tuesday as the wedge pattern weakens. However, by Wednesday and Thursday, a deepening low-pressure system will bring Gulf moisture northward, resulting in widespread rain and scattered thunderstorms in the Charlotte area.

While the risk of severe weather is low due to limited instability, WBTV cautioned that breezy conditions and wet roadways could affect midweek travel. Residents are encouraged to stay updated by using the WBTV Weather app or streaming service for the latest forecasts.
