Carolina Theatre hosts November events supporting local and global causes
Charlotte's Carolina Theatre offers music, film, and benefit concerts supporting Black philanthropy and global health.
The Carolina Theatre at Belk Place in Charlotte is marking November with a variety of cultural events that blend entertainment and philanthropy, WBTV reported. The month features live music, special performances, film premieres, and community-focused activities.
Two benefit concerts stand out this November at the theatre. Rhythm & Roots: Soul Amplified on November 19 celebrates Black philanthropy in Charlotte, supporting the Foundation For Black Philanthropy. The event includes performances by Al Jasper & Friends and a Tina Turner tribute by Gena Chambers, with proceeds aiding local Black community initiatives and youth programs.
On November 20, the OneWorld Health Benefit Concert features Grammy-nominated band NEEDTOBREATHE. This event aims to raise $1 million to enhance healthcare and diagnostic services in underserved communities in Uganda, Honduras, and Nicaragua, supporting OneWorld Health’s mission to expand access to affordable quality healthcare.
Additional November events include the film premiere of Search Party: Where’s Pawpaw? on November 4 and National Geographic Live: Wild Cats Revealed on November 15, offering diverse cultural experiences for Charlotte audiences.
These events at the Carolina Theatre reflect a season of giving and community engagement, combining entertainment with opportunities to support meaningful causes locally and internationally, according to WBTV.
