Dark Matter acquires House Numbers’ AI platform to enhance mortgage lending
Dark Matter buys House Numbers’ AI platform, adding 19 AI agent use cases to improve mortgage workflows.
Dark Matter Technologies has acquired the artificial intelligence platform and intellectual property of House Numbers, a venture capital-backed AI company, according to HousingWire.
House Numbers developed AI agents that automate mortgage lending tasks such as monitoring loan files, handling loan conditions, making recommendations, and communicating with borrowers and lenders via email, text, and voice.
The platform has been in production for two years and has processed loans for over 100 lenders, HousingWire reported.
Following the acquisition, House Numbers’ co-founders have joined Dark Matter in leadership roles to help integrate the technology across Dark Matter’s home lending products, including its loan origination system and point-of-sale platform.
Dark Matter CEO Vikas Rao told HousingWire that the acquisition enables deeper integration of AI into every workflow, accelerating Dark Matter’s goals and allowing House Numbers’ team to operate at a larger scale.
