The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Hayward area office reported the arrest of a suspected drunk driver on November 3. The driver was stopped after being observed traveling at 129 mph during a speed enforcement operation.

The incident occurred when two CHP officers were conducting speed enforcement and spotted a Dodge Charger exceeding the speed limit. The driver was found to have almost three times the legal blood alcohol concentration (BAC) limit, according to KRON4.

The suspect was taken into custody following the traffic stop. CHP's enforcement efforts highlight ongoing concerns about impaired and dangerous driving in the Bay Area.

Authorities continue to monitor and enforce traffic laws to improve safety on local roads.
