FOX 5 San Diego reported that Mission Bay experienced significant flooding due to extreme high tides.

These tides were driven by the incoming El Nino weather pattern, which increased water levels beyond normal expectations.

Despite the city's efforts to protect the area by building sand berms, the water still breached these barriers, causing flooding in the bay.

Officials and residents are monitoring the situation as El Nino conditions continue to affect the region.
