Hanahan opens Blackwell’s Outpost ahead of 2024 town center launch
New outdoor space in Hanahan offers food and preview of upcoming Blackwell’s Corner development.
Hanahan has introduced Blackwell’s Outpost, a new outdoor gathering area where visitors can enjoy food and preview future development plans, according to Live 5 WCSC.
The outpost serves as a community space offering items like ice cream and pizza, and will feature various vendors throughout the year, some of whom may be part of the upcoming Blackwell’s Corner development or temporary market participants.
Blackwell’s Corner, scheduled to open next year, will include restaurants, retail shops, and office space, expanding the current outpost area.
Jenn Rinella, a partner of Blackwell’s Corner, explained the outpost aims to give the community a taste of what the full development will offer and provide a gathering space for residents.
Blackwell’s Outpost will be open Fridays through Sundays until March, allowing visitors to experience the preview and community events before the town center opens next year.
