United Airlines to start nonstop Charleston to San Francisco flights in 2027
United Airlines will begin four weekly nonstop flights between Charleston and San Francisco starting March 28, 2027.
United Airlines announced it will launch new nonstop service between Charleston International Airport (CHS) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) beginning March 28, 2027, according to WCBD.
The flights will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, ABC News 4 WCIV reported.
United's managing director of domestic network planning said the service expands options for Charleston residents and connects the city to United's hubs in Chicago, Newark, Washington Dulles, Denver, and Houston.
Airport officials highlighted that the new route strengthens Charleston's market and provides direct access to the Bay Area, a major center for technology, business, tourism, and innovation, with further connections across the West Coast, Asia, and the Pacific through San Francisco.
Charleston International Airport's CEO described the nonstop flights as an exciting addition that meets growing demand for convenient access to major markets as the region continues to grow.
