Hudson Williams writing film with ex-hockey player character
Actor Hudson Williams is developing a new film featuring a former hockey player, facing creative challenges with sports parallels.
Hudson Williams, known for his work in Canadian queer hockey romance and other short films, is currently writing a new movie project that includes a character who is a former hockey player, Variety reported.
Williams mentioned he is encountering difficulties due to parallels with another project called 'Heated Rivalry,' which also involves hockey themes, causing creative complications.
He explained that although they considered other sports for the character, the ex-hockey player concept made the most sense for the story, highlighting a mental challenge in breaking free from familiar ideas.
Williams did not provide further details about the plot or nature of the film. Meanwhile, he is also involved in other projects, including the recently premiered show 'Yaga,' according to Variety and Deadline.
This new film project appears to be separate from his ongoing work on 'Heated Rivalry' Season 2, which Deadline noted as another hockey-inspired venture Williams is involved with.
