The path to a House majority in the upcoming midterm elections runs through heavily Latino districts in states like Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, according to the Daily Gazette.

Latino voters shifted toward Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, helping him win the White House and a Republican-controlled Congress, the Daily Gazette reported.

However, many Latino voters are now reportedly becoming disillusioned with the president and the Republican Party, which could affect their voting decisions in the 2026 midterms, the Daily Gazette stated.

Democrats are focusing on winning back disaffected Latino voters in these key districts, hoping to regain control of the House, but it remains uncertain whether these voters will firmly support either party, the Daily Gazette added.
