Roseville police responded to a disturbance call around 11 a.m. involving a man in his 50s at an apartment on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard, FOX40 reported. The man reportedly made threats about the FBI and blowing up management while screaming inside the apartment.

Officers found the man had barricaded himself inside and was throwing objects, including cans, at them. He was unarmed but possibly under the influence of drugs, according to the Roseville Police Department.

The man’s adult son was inside the apartment but was able to leave safely. The department’s SWAT team assisted in the standoff and helped execute an arrest warrant related to the incident.

After nearly six hours, police took the man into custody just before 5 p.m. The Roseville Police Department noted their team uses various tools and less-lethal options to safely handle such situations.
