A 48-year-old homeless man was arrested Sunday evening after breaking into a plastic surgery clinic in North Miami Beach, CBS News Miami reported. The man entered the closed clinic, raided the staff kitchen for food, and took a silicone breast implant valued at about $500, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office arrest report.

The clinic owner received an alert on her phone around 7:50 p.m. that the front door had been opened. She then viewed live surveillance footage showing the man inside collecting tote bags, food, and the breast implant. She contacted the North Miami Beach Police Department immediately.

Officers arrived around 8:11 p.m. and found the suspect nearby carrying two cloth bags filled with food and the breast implant, WSVN 7News reported. He was taken into custody and charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure, a third-degree felony, and petit theft, a second-degree misdemeanor.

Detectives attempted to question the man after advising him of his Miranda rights, but ended the interview after determining he was not in a sound mental state. The man disclosed suffering from severe mental health conditions including bipolar schizophrenia and paranoia, CBS News Miami reported.

A judge set the man's bond at $3,000 and scheduled a hearing to determine his eligibility for a hospital program, according to WSVN 7News. He was transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade.
