Man found dead near Disneyland entrance in Anaheim

Anaheim police responded Sunday afternoon to the south entrance of Disneyland Resort near Katella Avenue after a 65-year-old man was found unconscious on a sidewalk, KTLA 5 reported.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KTLA 5. Anaheim Police Sgt. Eric Anderson told the Los Angeles Times the man was a transient known to the agency.

Authorities briefly closed the area while waiting for coroner officials. Sgt. Anderson said the man appeared to have died of natural causes and that no foul play was suspected, the Los Angeles Times reported.

This incident caused visitors to avoid the closed-off area near the park entrance, KTLA 5 noted.
