A Learjet 60 crashed Sunday afternoon in Palm Beach County, Florida, resulting in the deaths of all nine people aboard, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, as reported by FOX 35 Orlando.

The plane had departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was en route to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it went down in Florida. The FAA confirmed that none of the nine crew members and passengers survived the crash.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the crash as "cataclysmic," noting it left a large crater on the side of the road. He also stated that it was unknown if any of the victims were Florida residents.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is sending a team to Florida to investigate the crash and plans to hold a media briefing on Monday. Dashcam footage obtained by Storyful shows the plane crashing and catching fire, though officials have not released further details on the victims or cause of the crash.
