Artificial intelligence is increasingly influencing the current election cycle, with concerns about AI-generated campaign ads causing confusion over their content, WFAE reported.

According to WFAE, about two-thirds of Americans express at least some concern about the use of AI in this year's midterm elections.

While 31 states have passed regulations governing AI in political campaigning, North Carolina has not implemented any such rules, WFAE noted.

The discussion highlights how AI is shaping elections and the challenges states face in regulating its use in political contexts.
