Obama campaigns in Ohio as midterm election fight intensifies

Former President Barack Obama held a campaign rally in Ohio on Saturday, marking his first appearance this fall to support Democratic candidates in critical battleground races, NBC News reported.

The rally comes as President Obama cast his early ballot in Florida on the same day, signaling the importance of early voting in the upcoming midterm elections, according to NBC News.

NBC News correspondent Shaquille Brewster reported from Michigan, another key battleground state where Obama was scheduled to rally later in the evening, highlighting the all-out effort by Democrats to secure votes in pivotal states.

The midterm elections are drawing increased attention as both parties intensify their campaigns in states that could determine control of Congress, NBC News noted.
