With two weeks remaining until Election Day, some small businesses report difficulties due to high inflation and tariffs implemented during the Trump administration, CBS News reported.

Restaurants appear to be particularly affected by these economic pressures, according to the report.

However, the impact is not uniform, as some other small businesses indicate they are expanding despite the challenges.

A recent survey by the Chamber of Commerce found that 71% of small businesses consider themselves to be in good health.

CBS News correspondent Natalie Brand spoke with business owners about their perspectives and hopes for future policies as the midterm elections approach.
