South Florida has experienced several days of heavy rain leading to flooding in communities across the region, CBS News Miami reported.

Meteorologist Nic Merianos from CBS News Miami NEXT Weather indicated that relief is on the way as rain chances are forecasted to decrease.

Drier air is expected to move into South Florida heading into the weekend, which should help reduce the rainfall and flooding issues, CBS News Miami stated.

Residents can anticipate improved weather conditions after the recent period of relentless rain, according to the local forecast.
