The Baltimore Banner reported that Trey Hendrickson has reestablished himself as a star edge rusher for the Baltimore Ravens, primarily playing on the right side of the defensive line. Since 2021, Hendrickson has recorded 59 sacks exclusively as a right-sided pass rusher, with none on the left side.

During a recent game against the Cleveland Browns, Hendrickson lined up on the left side for the first time in his Ravens career but struggled to make an impact. He lost balance on a key play and was unable to win any of his left-side pass rush reps.

Despite a finger injury that has sidelined him for two games, Hendrickson has two sacks and 25 pressures this season, tying for 11th-most in the NFL. He also has the highest pressure rate among top pass rushers at 22.7%, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

The Ravens face a challenge as Hendrickson's production is concentrated on the right side, and their second-best edge rusher, Mike Green, has also been more effective on the right. This highlights the team's need for additional pass rush help on the left side as they prepare for upcoming games, including a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hendrickson's upcoming game against the Bengals marks an awkward reunion with his former team, where he was a four-time Pro Bowl pick but never secured a long-term contract. The Ravens hope to build on Hendrickson's strong right-side presence to improve their defensive performance moving forward.
