NBC12 reported that Baby Brezza announced a recall of approximately 29,000 SuperFast Sterilizer Dryers on November 5 due to burn hazards. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated that the dryers can overheat and cause the plastic housing to melt, posing a risk to users.

The recalled sterilizers, used for sterilizing and drying baby bottles and breast pump parts, were sold nationwide including in the Richmond area through retailers such as TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Target, babybrezza.com, and babylist.com. The affected models are BRZ0083, BRZ0154, and BRZ0156, sold between January 2024 and October 2026.

The CPSC has received 32 reports of the devices overheating or melting, but no injuries have been reported so far. Consumers in Richmond and surrounding areas who own an affected sterilizer are advised to contact Baby Brezza for a free replacement.
