A Sacramento man was taken into custody after two people were stabbed at a Dixon corn maze, authorities said.
A 28-year-old man from Sacramento was arrested following a stabbing incident at the Cool Patch Pumpkins corn maze in Dixon, according to the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
The attack occurred around 9 p.m. Friday and involved a 19-year-old woman from Dixon and a 20-year-old man from Vallejo, both of whom were hospitalized for treatment.
Deputies cleared the corn maze after the stabbings and recovered the suspected weapon used in the attack, the sheriff’s office said.
Cool Patch Pumpkins, known for holding the Guinness World Record for the largest temporary corn maze, described the stabbing as an isolated incident and assured the public there was no ongoing threat to safety.
The farm also stated it will continue operating as usual through the rest of the season until November.
