San Diego County opens 180 more voting centers ahead of Tuesday election
San Diego County now has 221 vote centers open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. before Election Day on Nov. 3.
San Diego County has opened 180 additional voting centers as of Saturday for the upcoming Nov. 3 general election, bringing the total number of vote centers countywide to 221, the Times of San Diego reported.
These new locations, along with 41 vote centers that opened the previous weekend, will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. leading up to Election Day, officials said.
On Election Day itself, all vote centers, official ballot drop boxes, and the Registrar of Voters office will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing ample opportunity for voters to cast their ballots.
Voters in San Diego County can cast their ballots at any vote center regardless of their precinct, and they can use the Registrar’s online map to find nearby locations and check estimated wait times.
Ballots may also be returned by mail or at official drop boxes around the county. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received within seven days after, while ballots returned at drop boxes or vote centers must be deposited by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
