A San Diego couple, Argelia Ventura and David Granda, have transformed years of working in local restaurants into owning Café Maggi, a popular eatery in Barrio Logan, the Times of San Diego reported.

The couple first met more than 30 years ago while working at El Fandango in Old Town San Diego, starting their journey in the restaurant industry as teenagers.

Today, Café Maggi serves as a community gathering spot where the owners personally greet regular customers and maintain a welcoming atmosphere, creating a sense of familiarity and connection.

During the quieter hours between breakfast and lunch, patrons are seen engaging in conversations, reflecting the restaurant's role as a social hub in the neighborhood.

David Granda attentively oversees the dining area, while Argelia Ventura interacts warmly with guests, demonstrating their hands-on approach to running the business.
