Search efforts resumed Saturday on the Susquehanna River for a missing boater last seen Wednesday night near the Hatem Memorial Bridge, FOX45 Baltimore reported.

Mark Everett Coates III, from Havre de Grace, was last known to be operating a 10-foot jon boat near the U.S. Route 40 bridge on November 4, according to the Maryland Natural Resources Police, as reported by the Baltimore Sun.

Officials have urged boaters to avoid the search area between the Tydings Memorial Bridge on Interstate 95 and the Amtrak bridge to ensure safety and allow rescue operations to continue unimpeded.

High winds have made conditions unsafe for vessels other than rescue crews, but aviation resources were expected to assist with the search throughout Saturday. Drone flights in the area are restricted to law enforcement and emergency response personnel, according to WBFF.
