Los Angeles police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in the San Fernando Valley on November 5, CBS News Los Angeles reported.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 33-year-old man was crossing Victory Boulevard between Willis Avenue and Cedros Avenue around 5:55 p.m. when he was first struck by a blue Volvo V70.

A second vehicle, described as a red sedan, then ran over the pedestrian while he was lying in the roadway. The victim became trapped under the vehicle until he was freed.

The driver of the blue Volvo stopped and cooperated with police, but the driver of the red sedan fled northbound. Police later confirmed the fleeing driver was a woman but have not identified her.

The LAPD has offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the hit-and-run driver. They urge anyone with information to contact the Valley Traffic Division.

This investigation remains ongoing as authorities seek to bring the responsible driver to justice.
