The San Mateo Police Department arrested a man from Washington state after recovering a rare anime trading card allegedly stolen in a $30,000 fraud scheme, KRON4 reported.

Police responded to a call about the stolen trading card at 10:56 a.m. on Sunday in San Mateo County, according to KRON4.

The card was part of a larger fraud case that began earlier this year, involving the theft of valuable anime trading cards.

Authorities have not released further details about the suspect or the ongoing investigation, KRON4 added.
