President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the Ocean Center Convention Center in Daytona Beach on Friday evening, according to FOX 35 Orlando. The event is part of his campaign efforts ahead of the November midterm election. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with the rally starting around 7 p.m.

Volusia County and Daytona Beach officials have issued traffic warnings due to expected road closures and heavy security measures surrounding the event, WKMG News 6 ClickOrlando reported. The six-story parking garage next to the Ocean Center will be closed, and additional roads near the venue and airport will be temporarily shut down.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said the area will essentially go into lockdown with street and road closures causing traffic jams. He advised attendees to arrive early and urged others to avoid the area if possible. Airspace restrictions will also be in place, and drones will not be allowed near the event.

Daytona Beach International Airport officials warned travelers to allow extra time for travel as congestion and delays are expected. The airport's main entrance will remain open, but motorists should expect delays and follow posted signs for parking, drop-off, and pickup areas.

Public transportation services including VoTran, VoAccess, and VoRide may experience delays or temporary service interruptions in the Daytona Beach area during the event, according to county officials. The Beachside Transit Facility in the Ocean Center parking garage will be closed.

Officials emphasized the importance of public safety and asked for the community’s patience and cooperation during the rally. Additional details about road closures and traffic patterns were expected to be released following a planning meeting on Friday afternoon.
