TWIGs, or Terrific Women in Giving, have been supporting Dayton Children’s Hospital since 1965, according to Dayton Daily News. The group raises funds year-round through various events, including an annual Heart and Hand luncheon featuring silent auctions and raffles.

Joan Raine, a TWIG member for nearly 60 years, shared that she joined the group after moving to Dayton to connect with the community. She has remained active, participating in projects such as decorating for the Sugarplum Festival of Trees.

TWIGs organize multiple fundraisers, including gala dinners, murder mystery events, and the Sugarplum Festival of Trees where children can visit Santa. These activities help provide support for a wide range of hospital services.

The group has fostered lifelong friendships among members and continues to engage volunteers in meaningful community work, demonstrating a strong commitment to the hospital and the Dayton area.
