A United Airlines flight was delayed after returning to Las Vegas following a passenger disturbance shortly after takeoff.
A United Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Newark was forced to return to Las Vegas shortly after takeoff due to a passenger disturbance, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal and KLAS reports.
The flight, United Flight 1681, a Boeing 737 carrying 150 passengers and six crew members, initially departed at 10:37 p.m. on Friday but returned to Harry Reid International Airport at 11:42 p.m.
The flight was delayed overnight because the crew reached their maximum allowable working hours, known as a crew timeout. It departed again at 7 a.m. on Saturday and landed in Newark around 3 p.m. Eastern, as reported by AOL.
No injuries were reported among passengers or crew. It remains unclear if any arrests were made, and efforts to obtain comments from local police and the FBI were unsuccessful.
