Friday will be the warmest day of the week in the Washington, D.C. area with sunny skies and highs near 74 degrees, according to FOX 5 DC and the National Weather Service.

Dry weather will continue through the weekend, but a cold front arriving Saturday will lower temperatures to the upper 50s and low 60s for Halloween evening, ideal for trick-or-treating and outdoor activities.

Morning temperatures on Friday will start in the upper 40s to mid-50s before rising into the 70s by afternoon, with highs remaining in the 60s on Sunday and Monday.

Next week will see mostly dry conditions and a return to 70s temperatures for several days, though rain chances will increase late next week, likely on Thursday and Friday.

Residents should also remember that daylight saving time ends Sunday at 2 a.m., requiring clocks to be set back one hour before going to bed Saturday night, with standard time lasting until mid-March.
