A former West Point cadet drugged his girlfriend to force an unwanted abortion, according to court records and a lawsuit reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune. The man, Caleb Suh, pleaded guilty in June 2026 to assaulting the cadet in March 2022 while she was a second-year student at the U.S. Military Academy.

The woman, who was 19 at the time, wanted to continue her pregnancy, but Suh impersonated her to order abortion pills online. He also obtained Xanax as a sedative and tricked her into drinking what she thought was a prenatal protein shake before administering the abortion pills orally and vaginally while she was asleep.

After the assault, Suh left the woman incapacitated and ignored her attempts to contact him. She was hospitalized after calling 911 due to bleeding. Meanwhile, Suh returned to the online pharmacy to inquire about whether doctors might detect the pills, according to the lawsuit first reported by The New York Times.

Following the incident, Suh graduated from Cornell University and was enrolled as a public health graduate student at Columbia University as of late October 2026. His current status at Columbia is unclear. The woman has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages and Suh is awaiting sentencing.
