AC Milan set to extend contracts for Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot
AC Milan is finalizing a new long-term deal for Christian Pulisic and beginning contract talks with Adrien Rabiot.
According to Yahoo Sports, AC Milan has reached an agreement to sign Christian Pulisic to a new contract that would extend his stay with the club until the summer of 2031. This move comes after Pulisic returned from an injury sustained during the World Cup and quickly reestablished himself as a key player in Milan's attack.
Pulisic's current contract was due to expire at the end of the season, with Milan holding an option to extend it by one year. However, the club is opting for a longer-term deal to secure his services for several more seasons, reflecting his value to the team under coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Following the completion of Pulisic's contract extension, Milan plans to focus on securing a new deal for midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Rabiot, who joined Milan from Marseille last summer, is currently under contract until 2028 and is 31 years old. The club aims to extend his contract for a few more years despite his age, with negotiations reportedly already underway.
Rabiot earns a net salary of approximately €5 million per season and Milan is looking to maintain similar terms in his new contract. His contribution to the team has been significant enough for the club to prioritize his contract renewal after finalizing Pulisic's deal.
