The Atlanta Dream announced that Game 6 of the WNBA Finals against the Golden State Valkyries at State Farm Arena is officially sold out, according to Atlanta News First. The game, originally scheduled for 8 p.m., was moved to 12:30 p.m. to accommodate the Atlanta Hawks' later game that night.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens urged local employers and schools to allow residents to take time during the workday to watch and support the Dream. The mayor described the city as a "group project" where everyone plays a role in the team's championship push, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

The scheduling change came after the Dream raised concerns months ago about potential conflicts with the Hawks' schedule, but those concerns were reportedly not addressed by league officials, the team co-owners said in a statement shared by FOX 5 Atlanta.

Despite the earlier start time, the Dream chose to host Game 6 at the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena downtown instead of their usual 3,500-seat College Park venue to allow more fans to attend, as reported by Atlanta News First.

The outcome of Game 6 will determine whether the Dream force a Game 7 or end their season, with the team currently trailing the Valkyries 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.

Local rapper Flavor Flav also showed support by issuing a playful "paid holiday" note for fans to watch the game, highlighting the national interest in women's sports, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
