Banana Republic has introduced a new TikTok content series titled 'The Agency' aimed at connecting with younger shoppers, Retail Dive reported.

The series is set in a fictional New York City travel agency with a cast of eccentric characters played by actor Jack Innanen and others, highlighting Banana Republic's clothing styles through their wardrobes.

This initiative is part of parent company Gap Inc.'s broader focus on entertainment marketing, including its new Fashiontainment platform, according to Retail Dive.

'The Agency' marks Banana Republic's first original programming created specifically for social media channels, with weekly episodes and behind-the-scenes content distributed across the brand's owned platforms.

The first episode, 'The Fax,' has garnered over 10 million views, and the second episode has exceeded 4.5 million views, demonstrating strong audience engagement.

Chief Marketing Officer Meena Anvary noted the series nods to Banana Republic's storytelling heritage while appealing to younger generations.
