Reds10 Group expands into US modular home market with MMY US acquisition
UK-based Reds10 Group acquires majority stake in MMY US to boost modular home production in the US.
Reds10 Group, a UK-based construction and manufacturing firm, announced it is expanding into the US market through a majority-stake acquisition of MMY US, a vertically integrated modular homebuilder, according to HousingWire.
The acquisition combines Reds10's capital and industrialized building technology with MMY US's American manufacturing footprint, scaling production capacity to about 640,000 square feet across 14 companies and over 1,000 employees.
Reds10 operates a 300,000-square-foot off-site manufacturing facility in Yorkshire, the largest in the UK, while MMY US currently has a 100,000-square-foot facility in Louisville, Kentucky, and plans to open a 185,000-square-foot plant in Cleveland.
MMY US completes approximately 85% of its construction off-site and builds a range of housing types, including single-family homes and multifamily buildings such as the 36-unit Sellersburg Scholar House in Indiana. One notable product is the MMY US 9-plex, designed for urban infill projects.
The acquisition provides Reds10 with a platform to deploy industrialized construction methods in the US housing market, combining local market knowledge with Reds10's design, manufacturing, and technology capabilities to deliver more high-quality, affordable homes.
