Georgia Juvelis to step down as AMC Global Media chief communications officer
After 19 years, Georgia Juvelis will leave AMC Global Media, with communications shifting to business units.
Georgia Juvelis will step down from her role as chief communications officer for AMC Global Media at the end of the year, Variety reported. Juvelis has been with the company for 19 years, having joined when it was still called Rainbow Media in 2007, as Hollywood Reporter noted.
During her tenure, Juvelis helped shape the company's global communications strategy through significant milestones, including the rise of acclaimed series like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead, according to Hollywood Reporter. Deadline also confirmed her departure after nearly two decades with AMC Global Media.
Following Juvelis' exit, AMC Global Media will not hire a direct successor. Instead, the communications team will transition to report directly into the business units they serve, Variety and Hollywood Reporter stated. Longtime executives Jim Maiella, Olivia Dupuis, and Matt Pollack will continue to play key roles in corporate communications and talent activities.
Kristin Dolan, CEO of AMC Global Media, expressed gratitude for Juvelis' leadership and contributions over the years, emphasizing her lasting impact on the company and culture, as reported by both Variety and Hollywood Reporter.
Juvelis herself reflected on her experiences, highlighting the evolution of AMC from a classic movie channel to a destination for prestige drama, and thanked her colleagues for making the company more than just a workplace, according to Hollywood Reporter.
